We see the (further) development of a corporate culture as a journey, not as a project, because projects have a defined start and end. We believe that culture work does not fit into this "template", as the further development of culture is an ongoing task!
By the way: When we talk about "companies", we mean organizations of all kinds, i.e. both profit and non-profit organizations.
We understand companies as living organisms (not machines) that must assert themselves in their environment and adapt dynamically. Adaptation can also mean that the company looks for a "new environment" or niche or actively shapes or changes the (existing) environment.
Part of the company to which the culture development relates. At the beginning of a Culture Journey, we define the system in focus together with the client. The culture development can take place organization-wide or only relate to a strategic business area, a functional area or a department.
A company's culture determines how the employees perceive the world, how they feel, think and ultimately how they act. Culture is expressed in the collective behavior of managers and employees. Today's culture is the result of the behavior that led people to success in the past and was socially accepted by the collective.
Memes play a prominent role. In contrast to genes - which can be understood as information units for the “blueprint” of the human organism - memes explain why a person behaves the way they do. A meme is a manifested content of human consciousness, such as a value, a conviction or a recipe for success. These are exchanged through communication (between people) and can therefore influence or shape the way people perceive, feel, think and act and consequently also the corporate culture.
