As part of a document analysis, we look at all the company's management systems (both people-related and company-related). We are interested in how these are structured and what cultural impact they (should) have.
The HR cycle encompasses all people-related management systems and thus forms the framework for the employee journey, i.e. how employees "pass through" the company from joining to leaving. These systems, processes and tools and the way in which they are used have a strong influence on culture.
The company-related management systems form the normative, strategic and structural framework and primarily comprise purpose, values, strategy, structures and processes. These systems have a major influence on the behavior of leaders and employees and thus, on culture.
In 30 to 45-minute interviews, we gather the individual perspectives of key stakeholders on the culture. Possible stakeholders are, for example, top management members, leaders and employees. All interviews are confidential and provide us with information for the design of the Culture Online Survey.
Although culture cannot be "measured", the data collected provides an interesting insight into the culture. The employees taking part in the survey provide feedback on how they assess the company's current culture and what is important to them in shaping the future culture. The questionnaire takes around 10 to 15 minutes to complete. The survey can be aimed at workshop participants or the entire workforce.
